Faith Khanyile is the CEO and Founding member of Womens Development Bank Investment Holdings (WDBIH), a women founded and led investment company.  WDBIH was founded in 1996 by a group of women who had a vision to play a transformational role in the new South Africa with a focus to increase the participation of women in the South African economy.  This company is an impactful strategic investor which uses it’s role in its investments to advocate for the increase of women in executive and board positions.  Furthermore, the company uses the majority of its profit to support women entrepreneurs through its WDB Trust micro-finance programme and the WDB Seed Fund, which provides equity capital to growing women owned SMMEs.  Faith believes in sharing her skills, networks and experience with others.

Margaret Hirsch has become a leading example to business women in Southern Africa – coming from a humble background, to, 38 years ago co-founding and running the multi million rand Appliance and Electronic retail organisation, Hirsch’s. Caroline Z.A Mbi-njifor is the CEO of the Endless LifeGroup and member of the Institute of Directors Southern Africa. Caroline currently holds Non-Executive directorship board in three companies. Colette Symanowitz is the CEO of BeatingBullies, Mzanzi Gold and the founder of MBAConnect. She  has an impressive depth of experience spanning both the corporate world and the entrepreneurial space. Colette is skilled in project management, sales, building and managing communities, online marketing, entrepreneurship, and the digital space in general. Mamiki Matlawa is an Executive at EOH Ltd, Business Process Outsourcing Division and in charge of the Energy Vertical Cluster Business. Nicci Steward is the CEO of The Why effect. She has consulted on communications strategy development and implementation for various clients in a number of industries. Nizenande Machi is the Managing Director of Nandema. She is the former Deputy Curator for the Johannesburg Hub of the World Economic Forum Global Shapers. Anne Trusler is Head: Rural Socio-Economic Development & Stakeholder Relations at KHWEBO Consulting. She is a graduate of GIBS and an Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) practitioner. She consults on law as well as transformation, empowerment and leadership in business as well as communities in and around Rustenburg. She currently serves on various teams on the International Kairos More to Life Foundation, namely the Intellectual Property, Product Innovation and Transition teams. She is passionate about social justice and socio-economic transformation.

Connie Mdladla is the founder and Managing Director of Khaas Logistics, one of the fastest developing freight forwarding businesses in Africa. She is a woman of resourcefulness, fortitude and steely resolve with over a decade’s experience in international trade, export/import markets, trade documentation and finance. Khaas Logistics trades globally and its clients are some of the biggest conglomerates in South Africa and abroad.  In 2014, Connie was nominated in the Africa Entrepreneurship Awards held in Kigali, Rwanda. That same year she also garnered a nomination at the Top Business Women Awards in South Africa. In 2015 she won the Standard Bank Rising Star Award. Keri-Leigh Paschal is the Executive director of the Muthobi foundation within the Mergon group, as well as co-founder and director of the Nation Builder Trust. Nation Builder is an initiative that equips and enables businesses to leverage their skills and resources to bring about social change while doing business. Nation Builder has launched the first social Investment self-assessment tool, a knowledge platform with best in industry resources and an exclusive online community that caters for peer-learning and collaboration.

Helen Fraser is the founder and Operations Director of the Nashua Children’s Charity Foundation (NCCF). Having been seriously committed to charity work for the past 30 years, this is her greatest challenge to date. In 2006 with just 2 children’s organizations on board, the NCCF, under her leadership, has grown to the support of 75 children’s orphanages, special needs centres, schools, soup kitchens, safe houses and day care centres encompassing almost 15000 children. The foundation ensures that these children do not go hungry, receive all the possible school and educational tools as well as the requisite school uniforms. In addition renovations. alterations and additions are undertaken at the facilities which care for these children.  

Karen Wessels is the co-founder and CEO of VA Connect, Africa’s largest virtual assistant platform that provides outsourced administrative support. She is also the co-founder and CEO of SnappSales, a company that generates quality sales leads for its clients. Prior to establishing both her companies, Karen spent over 10 years in different sales, marketing & admin support roles. Karen Hill holds the title of Group Senior Marketing Director for Go-to-Market at Dimension Data on a worldwide basis. In the role, she leads the team responsible for stewardship of Dimension Data’s go-to-market positioning and messages, digital and social marketing, all campaign and content strategies, revenue marketing, sales enablement and marketing with strategic technology partners.

Wendy Masters is a well-known reputation manager, strategic consultant and crisis communication specialist.  She is a veteran in the Public Relations and Crisis Communications field and is Managing Director of the award-winning reputation agency, The Phoenix Partnership and is an accredited public relations practitioner (APR) with the Public Relations Institute of South Africa. Kgomotso Moalusi is an Executive Director Client Centricity and Media at Vuma Reputation Management.

Lani Carstens is the Group Managing and Executive Director of John Brown Media South Africa. John Brown is part of a leading global content marketing agency with offices in Cape Town, Johannesburg, UK, Dubai, Boston, Hong Kong and Singapore. John Brown creates engaging conversations between brands and their customers and our blue-chip client base includes Pick n Pay, Old Mutual, Life Healthcare, Total, Discovery, BMW and MINI.
